Easiest way to start up is to shoot local shows at smaller venues, and then start touring with those bands as they get bigger. Or to find a publication to shoot for, that can grant you access to bigger shows. Network like crazy! And most importantly, put the quality of your work ahead of who you are shooting, and things will find their way of working out.
